Welcome to my Artist in Progress Page

A lot has happened since I began this blog. Change of life. Change of status. The body. But after 32 years brush in hand, I am still doing the same media on the same subject in a similar way.

People of art world authority always criticised me for not conforming to one thing enough.... because I could never only do one thing. I do a lot of other things, too. I think this might be a place to test run my other ideas. The ones you never see in my galleries. The ones I am not sure whether to sign with my same name. So, here's to future posts of weirder and weirder art. Besides the other stuff I have done all along. For here, just the weird stuff.

I like the word weird. I remember my first day of kindergarten. I tried to sit at a table with so-called peers, and I was called weird. They were rolling clay into worms and pretending the worms were their friends, making up characters to play with. I designed worlds for them, inventing worm architecture, worm clothing, playgrounds, transportation and infrastructure. The kids did not even know the words for things. My worm's car was a Dymaxion. I was "weird."
